14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has become India’s most-searched personality on Google in 2025. The teenage sensation’s rise comes after sensational performances
in the IPL, India A fixtures, and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. His exploits have not only broken long-standing cricketing records but have also made him the face of India’s next generation of batting talent.
Google’s Year in Search 2025 revealed that cricketers, more than any other category, guided India’s online searches this year. Yet, the most Googled personality was the young Suryavanshi. The cricketer made headlines when he made his Ranji Trophy debut at 12. Following which, his IPL heroics in India, A performance to domestic brilliance, Suryavanshi delivered one milestone after another. Meanwhile, other names on the Google list included Priyansh Arya, Abhishek Sharma, Shaik Rasheed, Ayush Mhatre, and Jemimah Rodrigues.
Suryavanshi’s fame skyrockets during IPL 2025
Suryavanshi’s fame skyrocketed during the IPL when he became the youngest male cricketer to score a T20 century. Playing for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans, he hammered a 101 off just 38 balls, featuring seven boundaries and 11 sixes. He reached his hundred in 35 deliveries, the second-fastest in IPL history and the fastest by an Indian. This innings made him a household name overnight.
His next big moment came in Qatar during the Rising Stars Asia Cup, when he hammered a 32-ball century against the UAE, clearing the boundary 26 times. The knock of 144 off 42 balls included 11 boundaries and 15 sixes, one of the most boundary-heavy innings ever recorded in T20 cricket.
A month later, the southpaw continued his brilliance in the SMAT. Playing for Bihar, he hammered a 58-ball unbeaten 108 against Maharashtra, becoming the youngest player in tournament history to score a century. This was his third T20 century, making him the first teenager ever with three T20 tons, beating records held by Gustav Mackeon and Tilak Varma.
