Right-arm pacer Harshit Rana produced a career-best bowling spell of 4 for 39. Rana dismissed Alex Carey with a top-edged shot caught by Shreyas Iyer, before removing Mitchell Owen and Cooper Connolly during the middle overs. India’s batting stalwart Virat Kohli added another milestone to his career by becoming the second-highest run-scorer in ODIs. Kohli surpassed Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara to reach the feat and now trails only his idol, Sachin Tendulkar, who tops the list with 18,426 runs. Kohli has so far scored 14,235 runs in 305 ODIs at an average of nearly 58 and a strike rate of 93. He remains the only batter with a 50-plus average among the top ten ODI run-getters. The former India captain also holds the record for the most 50-plus scores in run chases (70), overtaking Tendulkar’s tally of 69.

Additionally, he achieved another feat by completing 100 catches in ODIs, joining legends like Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, and Tendulkar in the elite list.
