As Rahul nudged the ball towards the leg side and looked to rotate the strike, Jaiswal lost his balance after a minor bump with the bowler, which distracted him from looking towards his partner. Eventually, confusion happened, and Jaiswal had no clue whatsoever, only to find himself fall short of the crease.

On October 11, 2025, Jaiswal was run out for 175 after a mix-up with Shubman Gill on Day 2 of the second Test against West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
