UAE Bulls (UBL) square off against Yas Lions (YL) in the opening game of the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2026 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday,
November 7.
Kieron Pollard, the newly-appointed head coach of the Mumbai Indians, is going to lead the UAE Bulls. He has some T20 stalwarts like Sunil Narine and Romario Shepherd in his team. Andre Fletcher is expected to open the batting and do the wicketkeeping duties. Pakistan's Shadab Khan, Mohammad Amir, and Azam Khan are players to watch out for.
On the other hand, Jason Holder will be leading the Yas Lions this season. There is a lot of balance in his team with top-order batters like James Vince, Haider Ali, and Andries Gous, all-rounders lile Akeal Hosein, David Willey, and Dasun Shanaka. The seam-bowling department will be headlined by Obed McCoy and Eshan Malinga.

Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi: Pitch Report
The Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi is expected to provide a pitch where a lot of boundaries are going to be hit. Bowlers will have to be on point with their execution as the margin for error is going to be very little. Spinners will get into the game only as the season rolls on.
UBL vs YL: Predicted Playing XIs
UAE Bulls:
Andre Fletcher (WK), Sunil Narine, Azam Khan, Kieron Pollard, Romario Shepherd, Max Bryant, Khawaja Nafay, Khushdil Shah, Shadab Khan, Nuwan Thushara, Mohammad Amir.
Yas Lions:
Andries Gous (WK), James Vince, Haider Ali, Dasun Shanaka, Karim Janat, Jason Holder (C), David Willey, Akeal Hosein, Aryan Dutt, Obed McCoy, Eshan Malinga.
UBL vs YL: Probable Best Performer of the Match
Probable Best Batter: Dasun Shanaka
Dasun Shanaka was in red-hot form during the ODI tri-series in Pakistan last month. The Sri Lankan all-rounder has the ability to clear any boundary with ease and he is equally adept at hitting pacers and spinners out of the park.
Probable Best Bowler: Mohammad Amir
Mohammad Amir can be quite a handful with his years of experience playing in conditions where there is nothing much on offer for the bowlers. Amir can bowl the yorker, deceive with the slower ball, and slip in a bouncer every now and then to keep batters guessing.
