The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will host the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Match 68 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal

Rishabh Pant-led LSG lost to the Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets on May 17 to officially end their playoff hopes. They are currently languishing near the bottom of the points table, struggling with consistency and looking to finish their campaign on a high note in front of their home crowd.
Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer and Co. are desperately seeking redemption. The Punjab Kings enter this clash on the back of a tough six-game losing streak, including a recent defeat to RCB. Currently sitting at the fifth position in the standings, Punjab will look to repeat their early-season magic against Lucknow, where they won by 54 runs, and solidify their playoff chances.

3. Prabhsimran Singh vs Prince Yadav
The wicketkeeper opening batter from Punjab has been in stellar form, scoring 441 runs with a strike rate of 167.68. He also forms a deadly opening pair with Priyansh Arya. The right-hander can take the game away in the power play as well as in the middle overs.
But he will face a tough challenge in emerging pacer Prince Yadav from LSG. The 29-year-old has been the best bowler for the Lucknow-based side in the ongoing season thus far. He has picked up 16 wickets so far and was also rewarded with an India call-up for the Afghanistan ODI series.
2. Josh Inglis vs Harpreet Brar
The opener from Australia, Josh Inglis, since his inclusion in the playing XI has been tremendous so far. In his last two innings, he has scored two fifty-plus scores with a strike rate of over 190. If he gets set, he can torment any bowling line-up. But, on a seemingly slow Lucknow pitch, the left-arm spinner from Punjab can be an asset. Harpreet Brar had a good outing against RCB, picking up two wickets. If there is any assistance in the pitch, he will pose a great challenge to Inglis.
1. Mitchell Marsh vs Arshdeep Singh
The LSG opener Mitchell Marsh is undoubtedly their best batter in IPL 2026, scoring 563 runs with a strike rate of 163.19, which also includes three fifty-plus scores and a hundred. At Ekana, where LSG have played most of their games, Marsh will know the conditions better than anyone and will look to pick the bones out of anything loose delivered at him.
But he will go up against PBKS’ premier fast bowler Arshdeep Singh. The left-arm pacer, after a slow start to the season, has picked up 14 wickets, at an average of 34.93, and with an economy rate of 9.78. This powerplay battle will most likely decide which side will take a better start.
