Meet Gemini Spark
Google has unveiled Gemini Spark, a revolutionary 24/7 AI agent designed to act as your personal digital assistant within Workspace. This intelligent system
goes beyond simple responses, actively taking actions on your behalf, such as composing emails, scheduling meetings, and managing tasks across various Workspace applications. Operating on the advanced Gemini 3.5 platform, it's capable of handling complex, long-running operations seamlessly in the background. Importantly, Gemini Spark prioritizes user control, especially for high-stakes actions, by seeking your confirmation before proceeding. Users will soon be able to experience this groundbreaking technology through a preview for Workspace business customers, accessible via the Gemini app, marking a significant step towards a truly proactive and integrated AI experience.
Voice-Enabled Workspace Tools
Beyond the constant AI agent, Google is infusing its core Workspace applications with powerful voice-activated capabilities this summer. Gmail is set to receive 'Gmail Live,' allowing users to perform inbox searches using natural voice commands, like asking for flight gate numbers and instantly retrieving booking details. 'Docs Live' transforms spoken ideas into structured documents, acting as a smart assistant that can also pull relevant information from Gmail, Drive, and the web with user permission. The popular note-taking app, Keep, will also be enhanced with voice input, converting spoken thoughts into organized notes and actionable lists. These conversational AI features are slated for release to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, with a preview for Workspace business customers.
Innovative Image and Inbox AI
The advancements continue with 'Google Pics,' a new image generation and editing tool built on the Gemini Nano Banana model. Its standout feature is advanced object differentiation, enabling precise manipulation of individual elements within an image without affecting the rest. It also supports in-photo text editing and translation, collaborative canvas creation, and seamless integration with Slides and Drive. Currently available to trusted testers, Google Pics will roll out to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers this summer. Additionally, 'AI Inbox,' previously exclusive to Ultra subscribers, is now expanding its reach to all Google AI Plus and Pro subscribers in the United States. This expansion brings enhanced personalized draft replies, improved file access, and streamlined one-click task management directly within the inbox.
