The event, part of a larger series on "Biotechnology: Role in Industry 5.0 — Sustainable Future Pathways," underscored the immense potential for careers in this field. Experts projected that while the food processing market is expected to grow at a healthy rate of 13%, India's bio-economy is set for even more substantial expansion. This outlook suggests a decade filled with ample opportunities for biotechnology students to spearhead innovation and growth across various sectors. Beyond animal science, biotechnology's reach extends significantly into agriculture, human healthcare, and pioneering research, promising to elevate the quality and quantity of food available and improve the sustainability of our food production methods.

The vital role of biotechnology in ensuring food security is becoming increasingly pronounced as the world grapples with a burgeoning population, diminishing arable land, and escalating food costs.
