IIT Delhi is launching the eighth iteration of its comprehensive online certification in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, a program
crafted to equip professionals and enthusiastic learners with advanced competencies in these rapidly advancing technological domains. This initiative, delivered through the eVIDYA platform, is set to commence on July 26, 2026, and will conclude on January 22, 2027, offering a structured learning journey for participants across India and globally. The program is meticulously designed to cover a wide spectrum of knowledge, from foundational principles to sophisticated applications, ensuring participants are well-versed in the intricacies of AI and ML. This educational offering underscores IIT Delhi's commitment to fostering high-level technical expertise and contributing significantly to India's growing prowess in artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
Curriculum Deep Dive
The comprehensive curriculum for this advanced certification meticulously guides learners from essential prerequisites to cutting-edge concepts. It commences with a robust foundation in Python programming, essential data analytics techniques, and applied mathematics, ensuring a solid base for all participants. Subsequent modules delve deeply into core machine learning algorithms and advanced deep learning architectures, exploring neural networks and their diverse applications within AI. A significant portion of the program is dedicated to practical, real-world implementations, utilizing industry-standard tools such as Python, TensorFlow, Keras, and Scikit-learn, alongside specialized Visual ML Lab and Visual DL Lab environments. Eligibility and Evaluation
The advanced certification program welcomes applications from graduates and postgraduates holding degrees in fields such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, electronics, physics, AI, or data science, and related disciplines. A strong aptitude for quantitative subjects is also considered beneficial. The assessment methodology is structured to provide a holistic evaluation of a participant's grasp of the material. It comprises a 50% weightage for a comprehensive end-of-programme Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) exam, with assignments and quizzes contributing 20% to the final score. The capstone project holds another 20% significance, while attendance accounts for the remaining 10%, ensuring a well-rounded assessment of both theoretical knowledge and practical application. The programme fee is set at ₹1,95,000 plus 18% GST, with classes scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM IST.
