Next-Gen Frame Generation
Nvidia is pushing the boundaries of gaming performance with the forthcoming DLSS 4.5 update, centered around a revolutionary feature called Dynamic Multi
Frame Generation. This technology is slated for release via the Nvidia app beta on March 31, specifically catering to owners of GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. The core innovation lies in its intelligent approach to increasing frame rates; it dynamically adjusts the number of AI-generated frames inserted during gameplay to either achieve a desired frame rate or synchronize perfectly with the display's refresh rate. This dynamic adjustment ensures a smoother and more responsive gaming experience tailored to individual system capabilities and display settings. Furthermore, a specialized '6X Multi Frame Generation' mode is being introduced, designed to provide an extraordinary visual upgrade for games that employ 4K path tracing, a demanding rendering technique that simulates light more realistically. Both of these advanced frame generation capabilities will necessitate the installation of GeForce Game Ready Driver 595.79 WHQL or a newer version to function correctly.
DLSS 4.5 Game Lineup
The arrival of DLSS 4.5 is set to enhance the visual experience in a considerable number of titles, with 20 games slated to receive support. Leading this impressive roster are highly anticipated releases such as IO Interactive's '007 First Light,' scheduled for launch on May 27. This title will prominently feature full path tracing alongside the new DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, promising an immersive cinematic experience. Following closely is Remedy Entertainment's 'CONTROL Resonant,' the sequel to the acclaimed ray-tracing demonstration from 2019. This game is also set to arrive this year and will boast both path tracing and the advanced RTX Mega Geometry technology. Another exciting addition is Supermassive Games' sci-fi horror adventure, 'Directive 8020,' which is expected on May 12 and will also incorporate path tracing for enhanced realism. Beyond these headliners, other notable games benefiting from DLSS 4.5 support include the Star Wars racing game 'Galactic Racer,' which will feature ray-traced Lumen lighting, the open-world RPG 'The Vernyhorn,' and the action-adventure title 'Tides of Annihilation.' Additionally, existing popular titles like 'War Thunder,' 'Where Winds Meet,' and 'Gray Zone Warfare' will receive upgrades to their DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution capabilities, further refining their visual presentation.
Early Access & Drivers
For those eager to experience the cutting-edge improvements of DLSS 4.5 ahead of the general release, Nvidia is providing an early access pathway through the Nvidia app beta. Owners of GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs can opt into this beta program starting March 31 by navigating to the 'Settings' menu within the Nvidia app and then selecting 'About.' This early access will grant them the opportunity to test the new frame generation features before they are widely available. To ensure the smooth operation and optimal performance of these advanced DLSS technologies, users will be required to have installed either the GeForce Game Ready Driver version 595.79 WHQL or a more recent iteration. This driver update is crucial for enabling the full spectrum of DLSS 4.5's capabilities, including the Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and the specialized 6X mode for path-traced titles, ensuring gamers can fully leverage the power of their RTX 50 Series hardware.
