Swift Travel Unveiled
The much-anticipated Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is poised to revolutionize travel between the bustling national capital and the serene landscapes of Uttarakhand.
This monumental infrastructure project, costing an estimated ₹12,000 crore, is designed to drastically reduce the current travel duration, which often exceeds six hours, down to an incredible 2.5 hours. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to inaugurate this game-changing corridor on April 14th. Developed by the National Highways Authority of India, the expressway is a six-lane, access-controlled route engineered to alleviate traffic congestion on existing roadways, including the heavily used Delhi-Meerut stretch. Its strategic path will weave through key areas in western Uttar Pradesh such as Baghpat, Baraut, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, and Saharanpur, ultimately leading to Dehradun. Furthermore, a crucial diversion is planned to link Haridwar and connect seamlessly with the vital Char Dham highway, thereby significantly enhancing accessibility for religious pilgrims and bolstering regional connectivity.
