The Netflix series The Ba***ds Of Bollywood blends self-aware humor with a high-stakes narrative — and promises a host of unforgettable cameos, blockbuster thrills and an adventurous ride into the world
of Indian cinema. Produced by Gauri Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, Aryan Khan's directorial debut is all set to win hearts and become the 'Baddest, Filmiest show on Earth.' The show released on September 18 and is receiving a lot of love from all over, but it also hit a minor setback when Sameer Wankhede put up defamation charges against the director. Speaking to ANI, Bedi said, "Sameer ji represents the government, and Aryan is our kid, but I would not say anything. The thing is that the government is doing its job, but at the same time, Aryan is a kid, and he's just growing up. Whatever happened, he's gone through a tough phase."Further, he added, "I don't have a lot of comments. I'm not able to say anything, but I think somewhere, he has gone through a little bit of hard things...and I think it shouldn't have happened that way, but that's about it. I don't want to have any more comments on it." On October 8, the Delhi High Court issued a summons to Red Chillies Entertainment Private Limited and others in a civil defamation suit filed by Wankhede.
More About Sameer Wankhede's Defamation Case
For the unversed, former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede sued the show, Aryan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Netflix for defamation, claiming that the character of a narcotics officer on the show parodies him and defames him. Delhi High Court heard Wankhede's petition last week and found it not maintainable. The show stars Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, and Vijayant Kohli with Rajat Bedi and Gautami Kapoor. Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Aamir Khan and Ranveer Singh make a special appearance in Aryan Khan's show. The Ba***ds Of Bollywood is currently streaming.
