She broke her ankle and shattered her talus bone, making rehabilitation extremely
painful. After consultations with orthopedic, vascular, pain, rehab, and plastic surgery specialists, doctors concluded that amputation was the best option.Following the surgery, her friend Izzy visited her in the hospital — but with a twist. To everyone’s shock (and later amusement), Izzy walked in dressed as Milda’s amputated foot.The hilarious moment was captured on video and quickly went viral. In the clip, Milda is seen recovering in her hospital bed when Izzy arrives in an impressively crafted foot costume.
