Idli Kadai On OTT: Dhanush's Family Drama Set To Stream On THIS OTT Platform

Taking to social media, Netflix shared that the film will stream on its platform from 29th October onwards. The post read "Oru chinna idli kadai, oraayiram memories. Watch Idli Kadai on Netflix, out 29 October in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam."Idli Kadai's story revolves around Murugan (Dhanush), who leaves his family's traditional idli making business to pursue a job in a high-end hotel run by Arun Vijay and his father, Sathyaraj in Thailand. After facing a setback, Murugan returns to his humble roots to run the family business. However, he faces a set back when his former fiancé's family begins to trouble him.

Ahead of the film's release, Arun Vijay spoke to Tamil portal Cinemavikatan, about saying yes to be part of the project. He said, "Dhanush’s narration for Idli Kadai was quick, precise, and to the point. He gave me a clear picture of my character, explained his role, and spoke about how we fit into the bigger story. In just 45 minutes, he managed to convey everything with such clarity that I immediately knew what the film would offer audiences. I remember telling him, 'I have confidence in you, brother. Let’s do it.' There was no question of taking time to think—it was an instant yes."

The star cast includes Nithya Menen as Kayalvizhi, Sathyaraj as Vishnu Varadhan, Arun Vijay as Ashwin, Samuthirakani as Marisamy, Rajkiran as Sivanesan, Shalini Pandey as Meera and Parthiban as R Arivu.The technical crew features music by composer GV Prakash, cinematographer Kiran Koushik, editor GK Prasanna, and art director Jackson. The film is produced by Akash Bhaskaran through his Dawn Pictures banner and Dhanush through his Wunderbar Pictures banner.
