King. Oberoi teased the development a couple of days back on his social media. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, he confirmed it.

Confirming the news of joining King, Akshay told us, “Siddharth and Mamta Anand have my lifelong loyalty. I had done a show with them titled Flesh. That led to Fighter, where I got to show my talent to a wider audience. Fighter ke pehle 10-12 saal kaam kar raha tha, but that film put me on the map. I love working with them. They’re like my family. Normally, you’re finding your comfort zone on a film set, but here, they are my family and will always have my back.”When asked if he has shot scenes with Shah Rukh, Akshay shared, “Unfortunately not,” before adding that he doesn’t know whether he would be sharing the screen with the superstar. “I didn’t ask them for a script, scenes with Shah Rukh Khan. I trust them without a doubt and will do whatever they want me to do,” Akshay explained.

Besides Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Akshay’s lineup includes Geetu Mohandas’ Toxic, a multilingual pan-India film co-starring Yash and Kiara Advani. The movie releases in theatres globally in 2026.
