Devgn and R Madhavan have reunited for De De Pyaar De 2 after Shaitaan in 2024. The film is a rom-com directed by Anshul Sharma. The trailer released on Tuesday at a launch event in Mumbai. De De Pyaar De 2 is about Ashish and Ayesha’s love story and in the sequel, the former will be meeting his ladylove’s parents.

R Madhavan praises Ajay Devgn

R Madhavan plays Rakul Preet Singh a.k.a Ayesha’s father whereas Gautami Kapoor is her mother. At the trailer launch, the Shaitaan actor praised Ajay and said, “I had witnessed during the shoot of Shaitaan (2024) that Ajay sir is only focused on the benefit of the film. He never says ‘Main hero hoon toh mujhe aisi cheezein mat kaho’. Honestly, at times, I feel (yeh role) ek aam hero ke liye accept karna mushkil hai. I myself might not have done the part (played by Ajay). But the amount of enthusiasm that he showed for all of us, we got a chance to perform freely. Ajay Devgn jokes about DDPD 2 being Shaitaan 2

Leaving media impressed with his wit, Ajay joked, “In a way, it’s a sequel to Shaitaan. Usme yeh meri beti le jaate hai. Isme main iski beti le jaata hoon.” The synopsis of the film reads, "In De De Pyaar De 2, love faces its toughest test yet as Ashish visits Ayesha’s family home! Will the age-gap romance win hearts or stir things up? With heart, humour and a whole lot of family madness, this Pyaar vs Parivaar clash promises a relatable, riotous ride for every kind of audience." De De Pyaar De 2 is produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, and Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The film is set to release November 14.
