BTS member Suga made his much awaited return to social media, and his entire fandom and ARMYs erupted in joy. On September 22, Suga, aka Min Yoongi returned to Instagram after more than 2 years. This is also his first upload following his infamous DUI case in 2024 and his military discharge in June this year. His last post is dated August 25, 2023.Suga posted a slew of clicks playing guitar at some kind of underground jamming, with music instruments and boxes cluttered around him. His short haircut suggests it is possibly from his military tenure or soon after that. He did not write any caption, and even kept his comments section closed on Instagram. However, fans did not stop from flooding X (formerly Twitter) with reactions.
"Finally my man is back"" wrote a fan. Another one said, "Yoongi, the guitar, the hair, Yoongi, the undercut, the outfit, Yoongi, his aura, YONGIIIIII" Many screamed in happiness, cheering for him. A user commented, "OMG tell him this isn't a dream." A second fan said, "Waaaah I wanna cry. Suga my heart." Most reactions claimed the amount his fans missed him all these years.
Suga's work before enlistment
Suga has kept a low profile ever since he enlisted in the military in September 2023. Prior to his enlistment, he released his debut solo album
D-Day in April 2023. This was the third installment in a trilogy of works that includes the mixtapes Agust D (2016) and D-2 (2020). Suga did not follow his bandmates to launch singles even while being away, and nothing new came out from his end. But that did not stop his fans from trending Suga's music on the charts even during his break. As D-Day continued to top ratings, fans kept rooting for him.

Suga's drunk driving incident
On August 6, 2024, Suga was caught by the police for operating an electric scooter while under the influence of alcohol. Following the incident, the rapper penned an apology note. "Last night after drinking at dinner, I went home by riding an electric scooter. I violated the traffic laws due to me thinking easily that it’s close distance and not recognizing that it is not allowed to ride an electric scooter after drinking," he wrote, before adding, "I bow my head and apologize to everyone."Due to Suga's military service as a social worker, he did not have the typical discharge like his bandmates, rather he returned quietly, and made his first proper public appearance while cheering for J-Hope during his
Hope On The Stage show in Seoul, from the audience. He is currently working with other members on BTS' comeback album.
