Phalke awardee Mohanlal and National Award Winning director Sathyan Anthikad's Hridayapoorvam which released during Onam, has surpassed Rs 100 crore at the box office. The milestone has been celebrated by the makers and Mohanlal social media.

Grateful beyond words for the love and support you’ve shown.”Despite not reaching the box office collection of Lokah, the heartwarming film Hridayapoorvam is the fourth highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2025. The family entertainer, has been praised for its feel-good factor and the solid performances.
The Malayalam romantic comedy-drama, is all set for its digital premiere on Jio Hotstar starting September 26, 2025. After a successful theatrical run the film will now be accessible not just in Malayalam, but also in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.Hridayapoorvam tells the story of a middle-aged man who undergoes a heart transplant and forms an unlikely bond with his donor’s family. It also stars Premalu-fame Sangeeth Prathap, Malavika Mohanan, Siddique, and Sangita, Lalu Alex, Janardhanan, Sabitha Anand, Baburaj, and Nishan in key roles.
The screenplay, penned by Sonu T P, is based on a story by Akhil Sathyan. Mohanlal next has Vrusshabha, a multilingual period epic gearing up for release. The film directed by Nanda Kishore will hit screens on October 16, coinciding with Diwali.On September 23, Mohanlal was conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award by President Droupadi Murmu at the 71st National Awards ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Tuesday.Mohanlal was elated to receive the award from President Murmu on Tuesday. The actor received a standing ovation from the attendees at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi, as he accepted the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
