Shakthi Thirumagan On OTT: Where You Can Watch Vijay Antony's Socio-Political Drama Online

Vijay Antony's recent film Shakthi Thirumagan, which released in theatres on September 19 is gearing up to release on OTT. The film, helmed by Arun Prabhu, opened to largely mixed reviews upon release.

The film opened in cinemas alongside Kavin's Kiss and Kalaiyarasan-Dinesh's Thandakaaranyam.

A political action thriller, the film is set to premiere on JioHotstar on October 24 onwards in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The post from JioHotstar read "Every mind has a master. Shakthi Thirumagan revolves around Kittu, who is adopted by an elderly man after his mother is killed. As he grows older and is left to look after himself, aiming to find the whereabouts of his mother's killer. Actor Kannan, known for his only breakthrough role in the yesteryear romantic drama Kadhal Oviyam (1982), directed by Bharathiraja, made his Kollywood comeback with Vijay Antony's Shakthi Thirumagan. After staying 43 years away from films, Kannan stepped in to play a key role in this film which marked Vijay Antony's 25th project as the lead. actor.

The film's cast includes Sunil Kripalani, Trupthi Ravindra, Krish Hassan, Vagai Chandrasekhar, Cell Murugan, and Master Keshav. Apart from playing the lead, Vijay Antony is the film's music composer. On the technical front, Shakthi Thirumagan has cinematography by Shelley Calist and editing by Raymond Derrick Crasta, both of whom have reunited with director Arun after 2021's film Vaazhl.On the work front, Vijay Antony and director Sasi, have teamed up with a new film titled Nooru Saami. The duo, who teamed up for the blockbuster film Pichaikkaran, have reunited after nine years, adding excitement to the project. The film, also be produced by Ramesh P Pillai Abhishek Films, stars Ajay Dhishan and Swasika. Abhishek Films had backed Sasi's Sivappu Manjal Pachai, starring Siddharth and GV Prakash.
