71st National Film Awards 2025: Shah Rukh Khan Receives First Best Actor Honour For Jawan From President Droupadi Murmu

Shah Rukh Khan was awarded the Best Actor trophy at the 71st National Film Awards 2025. The award was presented by President Droupadi Murmu at a grand ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. SRK shares this honour with Vikrant Massey, who won for his role in 12th Fail. This marks Shah Rukh Khan's first ever national award in the Best Actor category, despite his long, celebrated career in Indian cinema. How much cash prize will SRK get?

The awards carry not just prestige but also a cash prize. For Best Actor, SRK and Vikrant will receive a Rajat Kamal (Silver Lotus) medal each. The cash prize is Rs 2 lakh, which will be split between the two due to the joint win. It means that both SRK and Vikrant will be receiving Rs 1 lakh each.The 71st National Film Awards 2025 were adjudicated by distinguished juries across various categories, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of Indian cinema.
