Before the release of Mirai, Teja spoke exclusively to Zoom and fondly recalled a moment that inspired him years ago. He shared how he once watched Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar host an award function and was completely captivated by their presence. “I was watching Karan sir and Shah Rukh sir hosting an award show. I was spellbound by their spontaneity, their language, and everything about them. For a second, I thought I should also learn this, but then I realised I may never reach the national audience,” Teja admitted.

He went on to say that life has now come full circle, as he finds himself in Mumbai promoting his big release, which is backed by none other than Dharma Productions. “And now here I am, promoting my film in Mumbai for its Hindi release, with Dharma standing behind me,” he added with a smile.Mirai, directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni, also stars Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, and Jayaram in key roles.
