is one of the most loved shows, and while fans await the third season, the makers have begun shooting for the film adaptation. The feature presentation will bring the cast of the first season together with new characters. Ali Fazal, who plays the iconic role of Guddu Bhaiyya in the crime thriller, has shifted his focus to building his physique, but in a desi way.

According to sources close to Fazal, he is returning to his family roots of Pehelwani and Kushti, traditional Indian wrestling, to build strength and bulk. These wholesome, nutrient-packed meals are designed to fuel gruelling gym sessions and wrestling-inspired drills. The source said in a statement, "Guddu Bhaiya is a beast in his own right, and he wanted to approach him, this time with the same authenticity that his ancestors brought to their craft. His family has a long history in Pehelwani, and he grew up watching the discipline, the grit, and the sheer physical power it demands. So instead of gulping down endless protein shakes, he is going back to those roots, training like a wrestler, eating like a wrestler."Ali said, "The idea is to build a body that’s not just for show but one that can truly fight, endure, and dominate, just like Guddu would. This is my way of bringing a fresher, fiercer Guddu to the screen."

Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, and Ali are set to reprise their popular roles from the Mirzapur series. Shriya Pilgaonkar and Abhishek Banerjee, who were killed in the first season, are returning. Ravi Kishan, Jitendra Kumar and Mohit Mallik are joining the original cast in the film adaptation.
