An 'Arshdeep Singh-inspired' Garba dance move is going viral, and it has a lot to do with the Asia Cup 2025! Confused? Let's start from the beginning. Asia Cup 2025’s India vs Pakistan match was not JUST
about scores, batting, bowling, fielding and a grand win– the game was also about the endless viral moments that ended up coming out at the end of the tournament- all thanks to the unforeseen gestures that players from both teams decided to do on an international cricket ground. Both countries had played against each other at the final match of the Asia Cup, where India ultimately emerged as the winner. The ‘final match’ was also the ‘third match’ throughout the tournament– where India and Pakistan had locked horns. The game was held in the United Arab Emirates’ Dubai on September 28. Coming to the ‘Arshdeep-inspired dance move’- it was basically connected to a ‘viral moment’ that went on throughout the tournament- specifically between India and Pakistan. The matter began after Pakistan’s Haris Rauf did a ‘plane going down’ gesture with his hand during one of the matches, which many connected with Operation Sindoor. Reacting to the ‘unnecessary poking’, it was Jasprit Bumrah who later did the same hand gesture as soon as he took Rauf’s wicket. Next, it was Arshdeep Singh who chimed in, as he too did the same hand gesture to mock Rauf. Naturally, both instances stole all the limelight, as many called it a perfect ‘response’ to the Pakistani cricketer. However, where did ‘Garba’ come from– amid the entire dance step thing? Well, simple, a video was recently shared online, which showed some men enthusiastically doing garba. Here, the moves that the men were performing looked somewhat like what Arshdeep had done; multiple head titles along with a ‘plane going down’ hand gesture. Hence, it became an ‘Arshdeep-inspired’ garba dance move for the internet. Coming back to the match, it was Pakistan that batted first, yet India successfully took the match after chasing down the target of 147. During the match, almost everyone gave their best, but it was Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson and Rinku Singh who shone the brightest. On the ‘meme’ and ‘drama’ side, however, it was Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav who stood out the most.
