Mark Ruffalo Breaks Silence On Why Solo Hulk Movie Might NEVER Happen: We Keep Talking But...
Times Now
Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo, popularly known for playing the character Hulk, has finally broken his silence on his much-awaited solo film on the character. During a new interview with GQ, the Marvel actor was
asked if he ever wished he had his own Hulk film and he answered as honestly as possible, putting all the speculations to rest.
No Solo Hulk Movie Ever? Mark Ruffalo Answers
Mark said, "Yeah, I’d love to have a solo Hulk movie. I don’t know if you know the story of that, but it's not really owned by Marvel. It's a Universal property. I don't know if it'll ever really come to be, honestly." Further, he added, "We keep talking about it, what it would be. There's been so many Hulk movies already, it's like, does anyone really want another one? But I'd love one, and I do think the audiences would be into it if we could crack the nut of it." For the unversed, MCU's Hulk movie – The Incredible Hulk, released back in 2008, starred Edward Norton as Bruce Banner. The character was then recast, with Ruffalo taking over from Norton, but the film is still canon, as evidenced in Captain America: Brave New World.
Professional Front
On the work front, Mark was last seen in the first season of the recently released streaming series Task, playing the role of FBI agent Tom Brandis. In addition to Ruffalo, the drama series stars Ozark alum Tom Pelphrey as Robbie, a father of two who is embroiled in a life of crime. Other cast members include Emilia Jones, Jamie McShane, Sam Keeley, Thuso Mbedu, Fabien Frankel, Alison Oliver, Raúl Castillo, Silvia Dionicio and Phoebe Fox. Reportedly, Mark is also set to return as Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk, in the feature, which comes 14 years after the actor joined the MCU in The Avengers in Tom Holland, Zendaya's Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
