on Platform No. 5 around 5:30 PM on Friday (October 17), was captured on camera and has since gone viral on social media.According to reports, the passenger had stepped off his train to buy samosas and attempted to pay through the PhonePe app. However, the payment didn’t go through. As his train began to move, the man tried to return the food and rush back to board, but the vendor stopped him, grabbed him by the collar, and insisted he pay first.In the viral video, the vendor can be seen confronting the passenger as he struggles to explain the failed transaction. With his train departing, the passenger, visibly panicked, takes off his smartwatch and hands it to the vendor before running to catch the train. The vendor then hands over two plates of samosas and lets him go.

The incident has drawn widespread criticism online, with many questioning vendor behaviour and overall passenger safety at railway stations.Authorities quickly intervened after the video went viral. The Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Jabalpur confirmed that the vendor had been traced and taken into custody by the Railway Protection Force (RPF). “The vendor has been identified and a case has been registered against him by the RPF, and he has been taken into custody. Additionally, action is also being taken to cancel the license of the licensee,” the DRM said in a post on X.
