Grammy
winner Ed Sheeran is about to share a unique musical experience with fans on Netflix. On November 21, the singer will premiere ONE SHOT that sees him collaborate with Emmy Award–winning director Philip Barantini of Adolescence who also shot the British series in a single take. The special is co-produced by Fulwell Entertainment, and Emmy Award-winning producer Ben Winston.

On X (formerly Twitter), Netflix announced, "Ed Sheeran has created a groundbreaking, one-shot music experience directed by Adolescence’s Emmy Winner Philip Barantini. One Shot — premiering Nov 21 and all captured in a single take — follows the Grammy winner on an unforgettable journey through the streets of New York City as he delights pedestrians with impromptu performances of his greatest hits." According to the press release by Netflix, Sheeran will be spending "one afternoon traveling the streets of the Big Apple while performing his greatest hits — playing impromptu gigs on sidewalks and the subway, interacting with fans and unsuspecting passersby, and more. Sheeran's eighth studio album, Play, has influences from India and Persia. Sapphire, which was finished in Goa, features Arijit Singh, and the music video has an appearance from the Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan. In an interview with Morning Edition for NPR, the British singer shared that he will not try to chase the US market. He stated, "I can't base my career on what America's gonna think about it."Sapphire has already reached number one in India, and the singer says the new album has a much lighter tone.
