A video showing a Bihar government teacher travelling without a ticket and arguing at length with a train ticket examiner has gone viral, raising eyebrows on social media. Despite ongoing efforts by railway authorities to promote rule compliance and ensure passenger safety, this incident highlights the challenges they still face. The train’s TT caught the woman travelling for free and recorded her behaviour on his phone as she refused to cooperate. Doing his job diligently, the TT asked her to “show your ticket or get out." In the viral clip, he confirms that the person he is confronting is a schoolmaster in Bihar, yet she continues to display unethical conduct. The woman repeatedly argues and claims, “you’re harassing me."Initially, she tries
to ignore the TT and pretends to be busy with her phone. The TT, however, remains firm and says, “agar ticket hai toh show kijiye na ma’m (if you have the ticket, please show it to me ma’m)." Moments later, the woman stands up and attempts to snatch the phone used to record her unlawful actions.
The TT warns her not to touch the phone while he is recording. Despite being clearly at fault, she pleads, “ek mahila ko pareshan kar rahe hain aap (you’re trying to harass a woman) aur nahi jayenge toh kya kar lenge (and what would you do if I don’t leave?)." Maintaining his composure, the TT ensures that she eventually leaves the train.Social media users quickly reacted to the clip, criticising the teacher’s behaviour. “She’s travelling for free herself and probably spends the whole day giving wisdom to others," one user commented.Another said, “Upon watching videos of this kind, the concerned departments should take suo motu cognisance of the violations of the prescribed social conduct, rules, and responsibilities for government employees!!"While the woman’s behaviour drew widespread criticism, the video also highlighted the ticket examiner’s professionalism and dedication, as he patiently ensured she left the coach after travelling for free.
