debut on the Billboard Hot 100, and also became the first K-pop soloist to debut at No. 1 on the Official British Asian Music Chart. Jisoo is now gearing up for her new album with more than four songs, unlike her previous mini EP.

Jisoo talks about new album

In a chat with Vanity Fair, Jisoo dropped major details leaving BLINKs excited. "Ofcourse there is! Last time I prepared a mini album with four songs. This time I prepared more songs. I've been working really hard since the start of the year to show the fans. I think the fans want a variety of content, so I've been working on more videos, and I've been working hard to show more diverse sides of myself. Please look forward to it," the 30-year-old said.

Her inspirations and references

Jisoo also revealed where she takes inspiration from. She said he usually watches Taylor Swift and Britney Spears music videos for references. "I really like them personally, so I'll watch them and think I really want to capture this vibe and get ideas like that," Jisoo shared.

Jisoo has been having a busy year. She recently returned to the stage as her group Blackpink embarked on DEADLINE World Tour, following the release of their comeback single Jump earlier this year. As per rumours, another Blackpink song and possibly a group album is also expected by the year end, if not later.

Jisoo on keeping herself busy

Jisoo also returned to acting with her zombie-comedy K-drama Newtopia. Speaking of her acting projects, she said in the same interview, "I haven't had that many roles that are bright," though fans refuse to believe and rally behind all her shows as an actress."I feel like my fans know me so well at this point because we've spent so much time together. If I'm not active, they'll say, 'Maybe she's just at home watching cartoons.' And I'm like, 'oh, that right! How do they know?'," she said with a smile.
