to use a Belly and Conard scene to promote a rather healthy message? Believe it or not, the Mumbai Police took everyone by surprise after their official social media handle used a ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ scene to promote the use of helmets. The video began with a scene where Belly (Lola Tung) was talking about Benito (Fernando Cattori)- saying how he was always the person who taught her “how to ride a scooter”. Chiming in, Conard (Christopher Briney) then stated how he will always be the person who taught her “how to ride a bike”. After the series’ original scenes, the Mumbai Police squeezed in an AI-generated video, where a cop was reminding a woman how the Mumbai Police will always be the ones to remind everyone to wear a helmet when riding. “And we (Mumbai Police) shall be the ones to remind you to wear a helmet when you ride,” the cop was heard saying in the clip. The video went viral in an instant, as it was quick to grab the attention specifically of Gen Z and Millennial followers. The show, on the other hand, is an Amazon Prime show with 3 seasons.
