The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested former Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) commissioner GT Dinesh Kumar in connection with a large-scale scam in the allotment of MUDA sites. Kumar would be produced before a designated special PMLA court in Bengaluru on Wednesday, officials said on Wednesday. The arrest came after the federal probe agency on Tuesday searched two residential premises in Bengaluru linked to Kumar in connection with the MUDA illegal sites allocation "scam".The case stems from a Karnataka Lokayukta Police FIR that also names Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his wife BM Parvathi, his brother-in-law Mallikarjuna Swamy, and others in connection with the land allotment probe.ED investigators said the inquiry revealed illegal allotments
of compensation sites to ineligible individuals, with ex-MUDA commissioners, including Dinesh Kumar, playing a key role. Evidence shows bribes were taken in cash, bank transfers, and movable and immovable properties. Illegal allotments were carried out using fake or incomplete documents, sometimes with backdated allotment letters.
