What is the story about?

A
sweet shop in Jaipur has taken luxury to a whole new level this festive season with the launch of 'Swarn Prasadam' - touted to be India's most expensive sweet. Priced at a staggering Rs 1,11,000, what makes it this expensive is that it's infused with 24-carat edible gold, or what the makers say is in the form of 'Swarn Bhasma' or gold ashes.Anjali Jain, the owner of the sweet outlet, told ANI, "Today, this sweet is the most expensive sweet in India. Its price is Rs 1,11,000. Its appearance and packaging are also very premium. It is packed in a jewellery box and its making is made from Chilgoza, which is the most expensive and premium dry fruit today."
What makes it India's most expensive sweet?
According to Jain, a combination of luxurious ingredients is used in this mithai, which makes it "ultra premium". Gold work, bought from a Jain temple, is being used on the sweet which is "animal cruelty-free", she said. The 'Swarna Bhasma' has been incorporated from Indian Ayurveda traditions. "24-carat gold, also known as Swarna Bhasma, is being infused in it. We are also applying gold work on it, bought from a Jain temple, which is animal cruelty-free. It is coated with saffron and topped with some pieces of pine nuts... hence its price is very high-end. The gold ash we have incorporated into it comes from Indian Ayurveda. So, anything that reflects Indian tradition is inherently priceless," she remarked. The shop also offers a range of other high-end sweets infused with 24-carat gold, including Pista Lonje at Rs 7,000/kg, Kaju Katli at Rs 3,500/kg, laddoos at Rs 2,500/kg, and luxurious versions of rasmalai. And it seems that this Swarn Prasadam will be a symbol of indulgence that only the elite can experience this festive season.Do you find this article useful?
