It all started when V attended American rapper Tyler, The Creator's recent concert with fellow bandmates RM and J-Hope, as well as CORTIS member James, in Gyeonggi Province. While V's photos and videos went viral on fanpages seeing him having fun, one clip in particular caught attention. It showed Lee Jung being present in the audience, at a little distance from V. As the two vibed along with other celebs, internet users noticed them alternately glancing at each other at a performance venue. According to them, V turns his head to look in the direction of Lee. When she glances back on V's side, the two briefly lock eyes before quickly looking away.Interestingly, Tyler's show also had Blackpink member Jennie attending. For the unversed, V has remained caught up in dating rumours with Jennie too for years now.

Meanwhile, V and Lee's video quickly flooded social media leaving many speculating a relationship. Many posted that their soft glance wasn't just about friends but there's more to that. Most comments read on social media, "Are you really dating?" Some even wanted the, to "clarify."Many however rejected all claims. A fan took a jibe and said, "At this point taehyung is dating the whole industry." Another one stated that they were looking at James instead. "He didn't look at her and he did but one second and also she looked at him cause she saw him arrive. She didn't smile nor did she greet him nor did she seem there was something. V and Lee Jung go back for their past collaborations. Lee is a popular dancer-choreographer with a strong base in K-pop. She became the youngest and first female recruit of the dance crew, Just Jerk. She gained further popularity following her appearance on Street Woman Fighter (2021). She had worked with Blackpink on several projects, including choreographing for the band's single Pink Venom, and Lisa's solo single Money for which she even won a Best Choreographer of the Year honour at the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards. More recently, she choreographed for aespa's track Rich Man.
Lee's first noticeable appearance with V came a day after the BTS member's military discharge in June this year. They even worked when V was serving the military.In a July interview, Lee spoke about her connection with V. She said, "We are connected through dance.
