Rani Mukerji Says She ‘Would Die’ If Audiences Start Saying THIS About Her Acting

a recent interview, Rani Mukerji opened up about the competition in the industry and said that she would die if the audience started criticising her performance.

Rani Mukerji has acted in several ensemble cast films such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega and so on. When asked about the competition with Kajol, the actress dodged the question and stated that there was no competition between them. In fact, Rani Mukerji explained how she wants to keep doing better in every film she does. The Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna actress said, “There was no competition. When we do films, we compete with ourselves. Today, if you watch a film of mine, you will definitely compare it to my last film. You will never compare me to a film that somebody has done. You will never want your audience to say, 'She is not doing a good job today. She was doing better in her earlier films'. I would die if I heard such things about me. I have to keep bettering my craft. I am not competing with somebody else because other people's journeys will be different from mine. There was never competition between the actors,” Rani Mukerji added. Rani Mukerji concluded her quote by stating, “When we do an ensemble cast film, you always focus on giving your best in that particular scene. The director would want to see each actor delivering a better performance in each scene. The audience compare actors on the basis of their performances.” Talking about Rani Mukerji, the actress will next be seen in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer King, which also features his daughter Suhana Khan in a key role. The film is being helmed by Siddharth Anand, and it will be released in 2026.
