Navratri Day 5: It's not just India that is grooving to traditional dances like Garba and Dandiya- foreigners too have been reeled into the Navratri festivities! A video was recently shared online, which showed a group of foreigners doing Garba- quite gracefully. As per multiple videos, the event was organised in Belgium. The crowd seemed a mix of devotees and dance enthusiasts- simply dancing their hearts out in rhythmic unison. Reportedly, the event was organised at cultural centres like ‘Shoonya Dance Centre in Ghent’. The event allegedly also had workshops and live performances. The video began to float around the internet, soon after being shared. Most loved the vibe that event participants displayed, while some called it the perfect cross-cultural
activity. Times Now could not confirm the details or the authenticity of the post. Navratri, on the other hand, began on September 22, and will end on October 02. It’s Navratri Day 5 today- September 26. This day is dedicated to Goddess Skandamata, who is believed to be another form of Goddess Durga.
