Ayushmann Khurrana Calls Thamma 'Biggest Film' Of His Life, Says 'For The First Time...'

Ayushmann Khurrana's much-awaited film, Thamma, has finally been released in theatres. Co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, the horror comedy clashed with Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa's Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat.
Both films were theatrically released on October 21, 2025. On Thamma's release day, Ayushmann called it the 'biggest film' of his life. The Bollywood actor also mentioned that doing Aditya Sapotdar's movie was a 'no-brainer' for him.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Ayushmann revealed his project choices depend on what he himself would prefer watching on screen. While discussing this, the actor spoke about his recent release, Thamma."I am not catering to just myself. I rely on my gut instinct. My thought is, ‘is this the kind of film I want to watch?’ Jo film main dekhna chahta hoon as an audience, I do it as an actor. At the same time, Thamma was a no-brainer. When Ayushmann was asked if he feels nervous about Thamma bringing lot of firsts, the actor replied, "When you are with someone like Dinesh, you feel a sense of safety under his umbrella. He has a certain vision and is known for disruption. Thamma is taking the horror-comedy legacy forward. I am a part of the most sought after universe in Hindi cinema right now!"Apart from Ayushmann and Rashmika, Thamma stars Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. It is backed by Dinesh's Maddock Films.
