Here's what happened in the explosive finale episode that exposed plenty of secrets. Warning: Spoilers Ahead!
Task Episode 6 recap
In episode six of Task, the Dark Hearts gang members Jayson Wilkes (Sam Keeley) and Perry Dorazo (Jamie McShane) call Robbie for a meeting in the woods. They want their money from the drug exchange back, and Robbie is supposedly going to give it back to them. However, Tom and his task force follow him to the woods to intercept the exchange and save Robbie from being killed by the Dark Hearts.Over the course of the show, it was revealed that Robbie's brother Billy (Jack Kesy) was killed by Jayson after he found out that Billy was having an affair with his wife Eryn (Margarita Levieva). She has been the mole in the gang, divulging information to Robbie and letting him know which houses to hit. Perry also learns that Eryn is the mole, and he kills her in the woods. Jayson stabs Robbie, and before he can finish up the job, Tom appears. He manages to try to take him to a hospital by car, but Robbie does not survive. Elsewhere, agent Lizzie (Alison Oliver) is another casualty as she is hit by the Dark Hearts gang's getaway car. Grasso (Fabien Frankel) does his best to save her, but the crooked agent is powerless and sees his friend die too. Jayson and Perry discover that Robbie cheated them once more before he died. The bag of money is a dupe, filled with brochures instead. Robbie sent the money to niece Maeve (Emilia Jones), Billy's daughter, as a safety for her future to take care of his two kids. The episode is a bloodbath as Jayson turns on Perry as well after he learns that he killed Eryn for betraying the Dark Hearts. However, even as he is dying Perry warns Jayson that the rest of the Dark Hearts are coming for the leader for his repeated failures and personal agendas. Guessing that Robbie left the money to Billy's daughter, Jayson goes to the Prendergrast home. A guilty Grasso tries to clear his conscience by telling his handler, Michale Dorsey (Raphael Sbarge), who is controlling him, that he is going to tell the truth to the FBI. The Dark Hearts come after Grasso, and he manages to make it to warn Maeve despite being shot in the torso. Unfortunately, Jayson is already on the scene and holds Maeve hostage. Tom and Agent Aleah (Thuso Mbedu) arrive and are told about Jayson by a bleeding Grasso. Jayson tries to get away after Tom and Aleah try to take him out, but eventually it is Grasso who makes the shot, killing Jayson and saving Maeve. Despite the wound, Grasso still lives, redeeming himself a bit. Tom ignores the money left by Robbie, indicating that Maeve should keep it for herself and the kids.
