The film Dude will stream on Netflix after its theatrical run. As per reports, the OTT streaming right were picked for a whopping price of Rs 25 crore. This is a significant milestone for the film as well as for the actor-director who earned success with Love Today and Dragon. Dude is Pradeep's fourth film as the lead. He has previously starred in Love Today, Ashwath Marimuthu's Dragon, and Vignesh Shivan's Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), which is awaiting a release. At a recent press conference for the film Dude a reporter asked him, “Are you hero material?” To this, co-star Sarathkumar responded strongly and expressed his support for Pradeep Ranganathan. These questions and criticisms aren't not new to Pradeep Ranganathan, and the Dude actor was calm when the controversial question was raised.

The film, also features Hridhu Haroon and Dravid Selvam, it is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers and will also release in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi, apart from Tamil. This film is the production company's second Tamil film after Ajith Kumar's latest hit, Good Bad Ugly. Keerthiswaran had earlier worked as an assistant director for Sudha Kongara in Soorarai Pottru, Paava Kadhaigal and Putham Pudhu Kaalai.Dude has music by Sai Abhyankkar, cinematography by Niketh Bommi, and cuts by Barath Vikraman. The film has clashed with Mari Selvaraj's Bison, starring Dhruv Vikram, and Harish Kalyan's Diesel at the box office.
