
Bollywood actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut was greeted with black flags and 'go back... you are late' slogans as she visited flood-hit areas in Kullu-Manali in Himachal Pradesh. The actor-turned-politician said that she had suffered losses too in the recent tragedy, triggering yet another controversy. Ranaut said the restaurant she runs in Himachal made only ₹50 in one day, even when she has to pay ₹15 lakh in salaries. "Please understand my pain too... I am a human being as well..." said BJP MP Kangana Ranaut, sharing her hardships. She said, "Imagine what I must be going through...I also have a restaurant here. Yesterday, I only did ₹50 worth of business. I have salaries of ₹15 lakh to pay." Heavy rains triggered landslides and flash floods
at several places in Kullu and Manali on August 25 and August 26, with strong currents of the Beas River washing away a multi-storey hotel and four shops.
Mandi MP Faces 'Go Back' Slogans
During her visit to the constituency, Kangana Ranaut faced 'go back' slogans. Slogans of 'Go back Kangana, you are late' rent the air on Thursday. Videos of locals expressing their resentment against Kangana Ranaut's visit to Patlikuhal area of Manali in Himachal's Kullu district went viral on the internet. In the video, local people holding black flags and shouting slogans are seen near the carcade of the actor-politician.Heated arguments also happened when BJP leaders and others accompanying the BJP MP tried to pacify the local residents, reported PTI. Earlier in the day, Kangana had visited disaster-affected areas of Solang and Palchan in Manali subdivision and interacted with the ones affected by the recent tragedy. Kangana Ranaut was informed that the whole Solang village is on the verge of sliding as the Beas River is cutting the mountain on which the village is located.
