They Call Him OG On OTT: Pawan Kalyan's Action Film Will Stream On THIS Platform
Netflix has announced that They Call Him OG Or OG will released on its platform from 23 October onwards. The post read "Once upon a time in Mumbai, there lived a storm. And now, he’s back". The film will release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
Directed by Sujeeth, and produced by DVV Danayya under DVV Entertainment, the film also features Emraan Hashmi (in his Telugu film debut), Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy and Prakash Raj in key roles.
Pawan Kalyan Announces OG Sequel
At the success meet of his film, Pawan Kalyan confirmed that the world of They Call Him OG will expand with both a sequel and a prequel. Pawan Kalyan said he was inspired by the film’s reception and box office results, which included a record-setting opening. The film grossed over Rs 300 crore at the box office. Speaking at the event he said "It is easy to write a story, but it is difficult to bring it to life on screen. In fact, I was not aware of the full OG story initially. I met Trivikram and Sujeeth after he mentioned his name. Sujeeth told me, 'You will be gangster in a Japanese attire, holding a sword and carrying a gun'. I did not fully understand the story at that time but when I saw my son reading the notes with joy, I realised that there is a relevance to this story for this generation," Pawan Kalyan stated at the event.The actor also emphasised on the generational significance of the film’s themes."So I told him to let us work on a sequel and prequel to OG I know how frustrating it can be when a film fails but OG has given me the motivation to do films again. I want to continue the OG world in the time I get," Pawan Kalyan added while highlighting his intentions for the franchise's future amid his busy political commitment as Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
