Salman Khan House Firing: Court Denies Bail To Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Member In Shooting Case

Khan house firing case is a hot topic of discussion on social media. As per the latest update, a special court here has refused to grant bail to an alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in connection with the shooting incident at the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor’s house last year. It has to be noted that the court mentioned that Mohammed Rafiq Sardar Chaudhari played an ‘active role’ in the offence and was ‘intentionally involved’ in the organised crime activities.

A new update in Salman Khan house firing case

According to PTI, the plea filed by Mohammed Rafiq Sardar Chaudhari was rejected by Judge Mahesh Jadhav, who was hearing cases pertaining to the Maharashtra Control Of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). The cops informed the portal that Chaudhari was spotted outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments, Bandra, Mumbai, just two days before the firing. He had also shot a video during his recce and sent it to Anmol Vishnoi, the younger brother of Lawrence. The accused sought bail by citing several reasons, including an unexplained seven-hour delay in filing of the FIR, illegal arrest, absence of crucial evidence, lack of mens rea (criminal intent) and no prior criminal record for invoking the MCOCA against him.

Mahesh Mule, a special public prosecutor, opposed Mohammed Rafiq Sardar Chaudhari’s bail plea by stating that the applicant was involved in aiding and abetting in the present crime. After hearing both sides, the court rejected Mohammed’s bail plea. The court said, “The applicant has played an active role in the crime. He was involved intentionally in the organised crime activities and acquired monetary gain through his nephew.” The judge also confessed that Chaudhari failed to satisfy the twin conditions for bail under the MCOCA. Currently, Chaudhari, Gupta, Pal, Sonukumar Bishnoi and Harpal Singh are in judicial custody. One accused, Anujkumar Thapan, died by suicide during police custody. In the chargesheet, the police have shown the Bishnoi brothers as wanted accused in the case. For those unfamiliar, the firing incident occurred on April 14, 2024. Stay tuned for more updates!
