The romance film stars former Mr India winner Jitesh Thakur and former Miss Diva finalist Alankrita Bora, along with Amol Palekar, Deepti Naval, and Brijendra Kala. Directed by Srinivas Abrol, Tara & Akash has been filmed in Switzerland. The actors discussed who they would be keen on working with in the future. and mentioned well-known auteurs of Bollywood.

In an interview with Zoom, Jitesh shared which director he aspires to work with. He stated, "I want to collaborate with Imtiaz Ali, and I'm seeing that dream that he's going to cast me one day in a Radha and Krishna story. He's going to cast me as Krishna because I want to play that character. It's just love itself so I would do it. And he understands so deeply; he's on another level. He's so deeply philosophical."

The actor also shared that he wanted Imtiaz to watch his latest film because it was inspired by the love seen in his films. The whole team would love and appreciate if the Love Aaj Kal filmmaker would see their film. Of course, acting is for sure, you have to perform that but the kind of portrayal that they make it, like Zoya Akhtar goes out of the way, like go to different countries and shoot different kind of films. I really want to work with both."
