Alia Bhatt To Headline Karan Johar's Next Directorial, Ranbir Kapoor And Vicky Kaushal In Talks: Report

Karan Johar is reportedly preparing to return to the director’s chair after Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in 2023. Early reports state that he would be directing a romantic film with A-league actors

in Bollywood. While the details of the project are yet to be made official, a media portal’s report informed that Alia Bhatt has been locked to play the female lead.

According to Mid-Day, Karan reunites with Alia for the third time after Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023). Alia and Vicky’s film, Raazi, was loved and appreciated. Besides this, Alia, Ranbir and Vicky are shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War.

According to the latest report, Bhansali will be shifting Love & War's set to Italy for the climax. Making the film a grand spectacle, key portions are expected to be shot in a month-long schedule. As per Pinkvilla's report, the cast and crew shot for over 120 days already and a big schedule is presently underway on a mammoth set in Mumbai. A source told, "Sanjay Leela Bhansali is going international with Love & War. The director is going to shoot the climax scene of the film in Sicily, Italy. It’s planned as a massive schedule across the city, making this one of the grandest shoots of the film."Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, releases in March 2026.
