In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Ravi Kishan shared his excitement about being nominated. He said, "I was very happy and I was waiting. This is my first-ever entry to Filmfare in the last 33 years because I was never nominated before. For the first time, thanks to Kiran ma’am, Aamir Khan Productions, that my name is Lala. Last year, I received all the Best Supporting Actor awards, but waiting for this black lady is like a dream for every actor in the cinema fraternity. I’m really blessed to be here, and I am keeping my fingers crossed. Ravi Kishan talks about 33 years of journey

He also added, "Industry loved me and I never left hopes. I've always waited ki ek din surya mera bhi uday hoga (that one day my sun will also rise), and industry bahut pyar karti hai agar aap apne kaam ko pyaar karte ho (the industry loves you if you love your work). Industry ki bahut sundarta hai because sab yahan kaam karne aaye hain (the beauty of this industry is that everyone comes here to work), and that's the beauty. Kaam karne vale ko industry der ya durast apna due 33 years ke baad mil raha hain (the industry eventually gives every hardworking person their due, even if it takes time — I am getting mine after 33 years). Sometimes it takes time, so ye bahut achi baat hai industry ki (that’s the good thing about this industry). Aur desh ki janta ne kabhi mera sath nahi chodha (and the people of this country never left my side). They always loved and blessed me for my organic performances in a variety of roles."
