While Priya Sachdev Kapur steps into her new professional role, she is also embroiled in a high-profile legal battle concerning Sunjay Kapur’s Rs 30,000 crore estate. The case, currently being heard in the Delhi High Court, has been brought forth by Sunjay’s children from his first marriage, Samaira and Kiaan, with their mother, actress Karisma Kapoor, acting as legal guardian.

On the plea from Karisma Kapoor's children seeking a share in their father's estate, Priya has claimed the will is valid and that Samaira and Kiaan had already received assets worth Rs 1,900 crore from a family trust. For the unversed, Sanjay and Karisma were married in 2003 and have two children – daughter Samaira and son Kiaan together. The couple separated in 2014, and their divorce was finalized in 2016. In 2017, Sunjay married model Priya Sachdev, with whom he shares a son, Azarias. He also co-parented Priya’s daughter, Safira Chatwal, from her previous marriage.
