Bollywood actors Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath have been booked in a case of alleged cheating and breach of trust. They are among the 22 others against whom a complain was registered at Murthal police
station in Sonipat district, Haryana. The case claims the accused were involved in fraud in the name of investment in the Loni Urban Multi-State Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society.
About the case against Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath
On October 24, ANI reported that the case of fraud and duping was filed on January 22. It is alleged that more than 500 people in the district were duped of Rs 5 crore with a promise to double their money in five years if they invest in The Loni Urban Multi-State Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society. When they failed to receive their money for a year, the agents filed a case against 22 accused. Both Talpade and Nath are brand ambassadors of the referred society, and thus got embroiled.As per reports, a resident of Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat named Babli registered the complaint. She stated that a young man from Bijraul village associated with a self-help group and The Loni Urban Multi-State Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society, visited her village. The society is registered with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Cooperatives of the Government of India.
