- Make sure the stairs are dry, well-lit, and well-ventilated
- While climbing, always relax your neck and keep it straight
- Keep your back straight without arching, as it may lead to back pain
- Keep your shoulders relaxed
- Make sure to place your entire foot on the platform
- Step quietly without pounding, as it can cause stress on the ankles and knees
- Always keep an eye on the platform so that you do not trip
- Do not use hand weights, as they can increase the risk of injury
- Climb slowly while maintaining your pace
- Start by going up and down short flights or half flights rather than tackling one long staircase
- Take rest if necessary.
