Former
police officer turned singer Rajvir Jawanda died on October 8 after a motorcycle accident on September 27. Rajvir was on his way to Shimla when he sustained severe head and spinal injuries. The singer was on life support after being admitted to the hospital in "extremely critical" condition. He was eventually moved to a private hospital, where he died. Several members of the Punjabi film industry shared messages of condolence online, including actor-filmmaker Gippy Grewal.

Taking to Instagram, the actor-singer posted, "This has made my heart go Empty Waking up to this terrible news is unbearable. My brother Rajvir, your last days were so difficult you showed such strength. You will forever remain in our hearts, memories, and souls." In the comments sections, fans wrote 'Waheguru' to mourn Rajvir. After Rajvir's accident, Grewal had also shared on Instagram for his well being, "Waheguru ji chardikalan ch rakheyo @rajvirjawandaofficial veer nu. Sare Jarur Ardaas karo Baba ji mehar karan." Jatt & Juliet actress Neeru Bajwa also posted her message of condolence for Rajvir. On Instagram, she shared his picture and wrote, "It is very painful that the cheerful and kind-hearted person Rajveer has left us. Farewell, dear Rajveer." She later added, "Heartbroken by the tragic loss of such a young and promising life.
