Lokah Chapter 1 On OTT: Kalyani Priyadarshan, Dulquer Salmaan's Blockbuster Film Set To Stream Online

Lokah, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan and produced by Dulquer Salmaan released in cinemas on 28th August, and set several box-office records. It has become the highest grossing Malayalam film of all time,

Lokah: Where To Watch Kalyani Priyadarshan's Film Online

Taking to social media, Jio Hotstar announced that Lokah will release on its platform from 31 October onwards. The post read "The world of Lokah unfolds exclusively on JioHotstar, streaming from October 31st." Interestingly, the film will release in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali and Marathi.

It is the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time, grossing Rs 300 crore mark worldwide. The film tells the story of the mysterious Chandra/Neeli (Kalyani), a yakshi/vampire who finds herself in trouble when she faces off an misogynistic policeman named Nachiyappa (Sandy).Directed by Dominic Arun, the film also stars Naslen, Arun Kurian, Chandu Salimkumar, Nishanth Sagar, Raghunath Paleri, Vijayaraghavan, Nithya Shri and Sarath Sabha. A few weeks ago the film's producer Dulquer Salmaan shared an update about OTT streaming details of the Lokah Chapter 1 on his social media. He posted “Lokah isn’t coming to OTT anytime soon. Ignore the fake news and stay tuned for official announcements!” His post came after reports stated that the movie’s digital release date had been finalised and it was supposedly set to release in early October.

Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra is the first part of a planned five-part franchise by Dominic Arun. Kalyani Priyadarshan plays a yakshi (vampire) named Chandra/Neeli in the film. The next part will see Tovino Thomas, play a goblin named Chathan. Dulquer Salmaan also plays an odiyan/shapeshifter in the film named Charlie. Mammootty, who plays Moothon is their leader.
