What is the story about?

Drishyam,
the Malayalam crime thriller film written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, starring Mohanlal, created a special kind of storm in theatres when it released in 2013. The film went on to become one of the biggest hits in both the actor's and director's careers, spawning several remakes across various Indian languages, and eventually, a sequel in 2021 that went on to become an even bigger hit. The Hindi remake of the film starring Ajay Devgn also received a lot of love all over, and now, fans are super excited for the third part in both languages.
Drishyam 3 Announcement DELAYED Again
Taking the importance of 2nd October for Drishyam fans, the makers wanted to unveil Drishyam 3's announcement teaser on that day but couldn't and fans might have to wait a little more. It turns out that a one-minute-25-second teaser was cut for the announcement, but the unveiling was postponed due to Malayam film's writer and director Jeethu Joseph, and producer Antony Perumbavoor. A source close to the team has spilled some tea regarding the said development and delay in the matter and it is not we would have expected. The insider said, "There is an understanding between the makers of the Malayalam franchise, Jeethu and Antony, and the Hindi remake’s producer Kumar Mangat. Apparently, one of the adaptation clauses states that the Hindi team cannot make any announcement about their film’s content without the permission of the original’s makers."Further, they added, "After Mohanlal announced the shoot, the Hindi counterpart’s makers announced that their film would release on October 2, 2026. This sudden date announcement did not go down well with Antony and Jeethu. Following this episode, the clause came into effect."More About Drishyam 3
"The original plan was that all three versions — Malayalam, Hindi, and Telugu starring Mohanlal, Ajay, and Venkatesh respectively — would be released on October 2, 2026, simultaneously. They were to be directed by Jeethu. But Kumar Mangat wanted his son Abhishek to helm the Hindi outing as Drishyam 2 [2022], directed by him, was a blockbuster. That led to a difference of opinion. Now, Antony and Jeethu are keen to release the Malayalam offering before the Hindi counterpart," the insider concluded. Drishyam 3 starring Ajay Devgn will be directed by Abhishek Pathak, produced by Kumar Mangat.Do you find this article useful?
