this time is possibly one of his costliest. Taehyung has been making headlines for several things ever since he completed his mandatory military service in June this year. These include his fashion event appearances, ceremonial first pitch at Dodgers and many more.
V buys new penthouse
On September 24, Korean media got flooded with reports that V had purchased a luxury apartment in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The Penthouse Cheongdam (PH129), worth 14.2 billion KRW (about $10.3 million) is ranked No. 1 as the most expensive penthouse in South Korea for four consecutive years since its opening in 2020. V has reportedly bought a unit out of 29 units in the building, paying in full cash without taking on any loan.As per reports, V currently resides in an apartment which he bought in 2018 at $4.5 million. Now, his new purchase is an upgrade of at least $10 million.
Details of the purchase
Allkpop cited details from the real estate registry that V bought the unit PH129 on September 17. It further revealed that the apartment's exclusive area is approximately 2,951 sq ft. The place includes 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Considering no separate mortgage was recorded, the publication stated that it appears there was no collateral loan, suggesting a full-cash purchase.

It further revealed that the initial sales agreement was signed in early May and remaining balance was paid this month to transfer the ownership from the developer. This adds V to the list of A-lister celebs who already own a residence there, including actors Jang Dong-Gun and Go So-Young, golfer Park In-Bi, and Hyun Woo-Jin.PH129 was built in August 2020 and is spread over 6 basement levels to 20 floors above ground. It holds a total of 29 units each as a duplex. The property was originally called The Penthouse Cheongdam but later changed to PH129.
