What Happened At IIT-Guwahati

As per reports, the festivities quickly escalated into a fiery exchange of crackers between students. What started as fun turned into a dangerous 'firecracker war' between two hostels on campus - Barak and Umiam hostels - prompting police intervention.

In the video, students can be seen launching rockets and bursting crackers at each other from hostel buildings, make it look more like a battlefield than a festival celebration.

Sharing the video on X, a user wrote: "This video is allegedly from IIT Guwahati, where a Diwali firecracker war broke out among the 'most talented' students of India. Police had to intervene to stop it. Seems these students were trying to learn how rockets and missiles work - and how physics and geometry apply when firecrackers are burst."Another user wrote: "Crackers war at IIT Guwahati.
